100 Days of Gratitude - Day 4

Day four: human brain capabilities.

I think about how far advancements in technology and the world have come since I was a kid, then I multiple it by a lot. We are constantly creating new and innovative ideas with these neat, amazing intricate brains of ours. Isn't that cool!

100 Days of Gratitude - Day 3

Day three: I am grateful for my car and my body's ability to create happy endorphins when I work out.

I am so grateful that my parents allowed me to use the extra vehicle they purchased. It has allowed me to do so many extra things in my life including career advancement, personal health maintenance and keep in touch regularly with my friends. I am also grateful for the way I feel after a workout because it makes me feel so happy and refreshed.

100 Days of Gratitude - Day 2

Day two: country music and smiles.

Today I spent my day cherishing great country music. It makes me grateful that I have the ability to listen to it and connect with it. Today I'm also grateful for our ability to smile as it makes us feel good AND it's contagious happiness.

You're most beautiful when you're wearing a smile. <3

100 Days of Gratitude - Day 1

Recently I came upon a friends blog. She had written a blog post about her 100 days of gratitude challenge that she had completed in order to gain balance and clarity back into her life.

In my recent time of confusing and feeling quite lost I've decided to create my own list posting day-by-day what I'm grateful for.

Day One: I am grateful for true friends and white wine.

It was this weekend when my friend really needed me that I realized the qualities in which make up a true friend. As I listened to my friend talk, I comforted her and asked her thought provoking questions about her struggles in hopes to show her new perspectives. In her time of need, she also realized I was suffering and needed guidance. She also comforted me and asked me thought provoking questions. A true friend no matter how much pain and confusion they're in will always be selfless and put their problems aside to help you. It's takes two true friends to create an eternal friendship between them. It is about giving and receiving. And don't forget...white wine makes everything better! ;)

Cheers!

July Glam Bag

I'm excited to announce my favorite glam bag thus far!

It's called Beach Beauty!

This time around I got my tracking number which said it had been processed on the 5th and it finally arrived on the 15th. Which seemed like FOREVER in comparison to my other bags. I actually got to see my showroom on Ipsy before it arrived, so it kinda ruined the surprise. Nonetheless this turned out to be my favorite one this far.

What I got:

Full sized pouty pop crayon by POP Beauty in Fuchsia Flirt ($25 for Collection of 6)
Sample sized eyeshadow palette by BH Cosmetics: California Collection  ($17.95 for a full-sized San Francisco, Hollywood or Malibu themed palette)
Trial sized suncreen by Coola: Mineral Face SPF Rose Essence Tinted Moisturizer ($5 for trial sized, $36 for full-sized)
Trial sized hairspray by Sexy Hair: Weather Proof Humidity Resistant Spray ($3 for trial sized, 17.95 for full-sized)
On-the-go sized oil roll-on purfume by Demeter in Salt Air ($10)

First off I'd like to say I loved this bag so much because it had products I'd actually use, besides the crayon.

I was so happy when I saw the eyeshadow colours because I know for a fact that I will use the San Fran & Malibu colours for sure! I was hesitant when I saw the purple but I tried it out on my wrist to see how dark it went on, and to my surprise its very light unlike other dark shadows! I'll definitely be trying that one out for date-night or a night out on the town.

I was hesitant to open to pouty pop crayon because I initially hated the colour and was going to try to give it away. Against my better judgement I opened it and tried it out. Oh god. I looked like a prostitute Barbie doll. Sorry for those of you who like it, but its awful. Not only was the colour bad, it came out kind of like a glossy wax, like I had actually used a crayon on my lips. Looks cheap and isn't made of environmentally friendly ingredients. I would give this to my kid to play dress-up with if I had one, that how cheap it looks. This was a no go for me.

I wasn't a huge fan of the tint to the suncreen only because you can't share with other a person of different ethnicity, and the rose scent definitely wasn't for me. But despite Ipsy's mess up on my preference, I still love the product/brand and will definitely be purchasing a full-sized non-tinted bottle. The sunscreen is hypoallergenic, paraben free and uses organic ingredients, vegan friendly, cruetly free, travel friends, recycle friendly AND green friendly. HOLY! YES PLEASE. Lovin' the natural earth products. I am a hypochondriac and love all things earth friendly for the body so I was all over this!

I liked the idea of having a small hairspray to chuck into my purse or when traveling. Not entirely sure how well its going to be for humidity, and I don't wear a ton of hairspray. When I did spray it into my hair yesterday in the hot humid heat though, it appeared to be just okay. Plus side was no crunchy hair, and it seemed to have a flexible hold, but I can't say I approve it for humidity yet.

Finally, the roll-on perfume. I'm wearing it right now, and as much as the scent does please me, I'm not sure when I'd ever wear it. Outside? To the beach?  It seems to me that most people don't get all gussied up and put perfume on to go kayaking or hang out in the lake. This just seems to be a bug-attraction. I wouldn't wear it on a date, or out somewhere fancy because its a laid-back scent, and unless I'm getting dressed up, there isn't a need for perfume. So I like it, but its not practical for my lifestyle.
